Buried

I'm digging...
out of this mess,
fast enough, I wish,
but, alas, I notice,
I'm in too deep!

Just keep digging...
I told myself,
soon you'll see
the bright light of day,
you'll again be happy!

So, I kept digging...
without noticing,
what I am losing,
is not just my patience,
but my very essence...

No amount of digging...
will get me out,
for I'm in too deep,
all I can do is weep,
I am so sad,
I hurt so bad!

Still, I dug...
deeper and deeper,
I went...
lower and lower,
I sunk...
desperate to get out!
