Just Fifty Years or so Ago..

Long ago,
there is no television,
which murders conversation,
by providing constant distraction,
to occupy everyone's attention.
Long ago,
there is no computer,
which shrink the mind faster,
making everything a no-brainer,
which, in turn, makes thinking rare.
Long ago,
nobody has been on the moon,
so to the LUNA people swoon,
no NASA expenses to make them moan,
just wishing the moon will be full soon.
Long ago,
there is no credit card,
which make people discard,
the value of "savings" as a standard,
their financial growth seems to retard.
Long ago,
there is no frozen food,
which facilitate motherhood,
no probs cooking for the brood,
even for the entire neighborhood.
Long ago,
people do not together live,
unless they are married,
women then are "stupid,"
to have babies "husbands" are needed.
Long ago,
"closets" are for clothes,
not for "coming out,"
a "chip" is a piece off wood,
not an information storage.
Long ago,
"grass" was mowed,
"coke" was a cold drink,
"pot" was used for cooking,
and "sex" cannot be changed.
Long ago,
is not even a century,
yet, changes are so many,
what will happen a century away?
will a man, in a crowd, still get lonely?
