Light is such an important thing,created at the very beginning,
even before earth and heaven,
Genesis tells exactly when.
Light helps us to see,
what lies on our way,
we move about confidently,
when it is shining brightly.
Light illuminates,
so darkness cannot dominate,
people have no fear of daylight,
yet, many are, in the dark of night.
Light is positive,
darkness is negative,
light is anticipated,
darkness not wanted,
Light's opposite is darkness,
dreaded like a disease,
yet, we truly appreciate light,
when darkness hinders our sight.
